We have been running a charity bookstall in Egham for over ten years, as Egham did not have a dedicated book shop for a number of years (until Sam Beare Hospice opened their bookshop in May 2011). Our bookstall is open most months on Friday afternoons/nights and Saturday mornings; depending upon the weather, we aim to raise around £500 each month, with the proceeds split between our Church fundraising appeal and a selection of local charities/good causes/Church schools. Since we first opened in March 2002 we have raised well over £30,000.
We have nearly 4,000 new and second hand books in stock plus a variety of DVDs, CDs, videos, vinyl and cassettes, all lovingly donated and sorted by category/author as it helps many of our loyal customers find what they’re looking for.

Volunteering
We could really do with some extra help, to help set up, sort books and put them away again, so if you can spare say 1-2 hours per month:
- on a Thursday evening (6 – 8 PM) : heavy work/set up
- or a Friday afternoon/evening (3 – 9 PM) : light work/sorting books
- or a Saturday morning (10 AM – 12 noon) : light work/sorting books
- or a Saturday lunchtime (12:30 – 2:30 PM) : heavy work/pack away
…we will happily give you a discount or even some free books to thank you for your time. Contact us to register your interest or come along and speak to Graham Burrough, our bookstall co-ordinator, on one of the above dates.
